Omer Box
Making the mitzvah of counting the Omer a little bit easier.
Our Omer Box is a reusable 49-drawer countdown box for counting the Omer. Each drawer measures 4cm x 4cm x 3cm, which is just enough space for a tiny treasure each day. The inside flaps include a brief description of what the Omer is and why we count, along with the bracha (blessing) to say each day before counting.
Counting begins on the second night of Pesach (Passover) and continues for 49 days to the beginning of Shavuot. The Torah tells us to count seven weeks from the Pesach offering so that, in the days before phone reminders, we still knew when the Shavuot offering was supposed to happen.
Your DIY Omer Box arrives with all the drawers and dividers included, ready for easy assembly. Then, you get to play “What fits inside the box?” (don’t worry – we’ve got lots of suggestions for where to start). Each evening after sundown, say the bracha and count the day, then open that drawer for a small treat.
If you want your box to arrive ready to go, we also offer the Assembled Box, which has all the dividers and drawers assembled for you.
The outer box measures 12.25" x 9.5" x 2.25". Each drawer is roughly 1.5" x 1.5" x 1.25" (4cm x 4cm x 3cm).
